Light in New Orleans: A Photopost

Continuing with my New Orleans photoposts…we took a number of evening walks while we were there, which gave me the chance to capture the golden hour and sunset from several different vantage points. Enjoy! (Click any image for a larger view)

The courthouse isn’t actually salmon colored – that’s the sunset reflecting off the stone face, with no color editing. It’s one of my favorite photographs ever.

This statue by the river was dedicated to the substantial immigrant population of New Orleans, who came from all over the world
